Thailand puts forward six proposals to boost ASEAN tourism
The Thai cabinet has approved six proposals by the Minister of Tourism and Sports to build up regional partnership in promoting tourism of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN).
According to Minister of Tourism and Sports Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol, the proposals will be presented at the 27th Meeting of ASEAN Tourism Ministers in Vientiane, Laos, on January 24-25 and at three similar meetings.
The first proposal relates to the meeting in Laos. It comes as a statement and aims to promote tourism in ASEAN member states under the concept of “Quality and Responsible Tourism – Sustaining ASEAN’s Future”.
